Entry
Q: Who in the crew needs a SailArena ID and when?
A: Everybody in the crew, skipper as well as the others, need to create a SailArena ID in order for the team to be eligable to race. However, only the skipper must create one in order for the team to be able to register for the event. The registration can then be supplemented with the remaining crews SailArena ID until August 25th 12:00. If all crew members SailArena ID was not in SailArena at your registration and inspection in Bullandö, you must also visit Race Office in Sandhamn at the latest August 25th 12:00 EST to finalise the registration and be eligable to race. Q: Do you have a maximum number of entries?
A: Yes, 110 boats.
Q: Can we change the crew after we have registered for the event?
A: Yes. You can change crew until the check in ends on August 25th at 12:00 EST. You must notify the KSSS Race Office at [email protected].
Q: We will not be able to participate but has already made an entry. How can we cancel our entry, and will we get some of the entry fee back?
A: You can cancel your entry by e-mail to [email protected]. If you cancel your registration before July 1st, the entry fee will be refunded after deduction of an administrative fee of SEK 2 300.
Registration and inspections
Q: Is it possible to go to the inspection at Bullandö by boat or do you need to come by trailer?
A: Yes, it is possible to get to the inspection at Bullandö by boat before you go to Sandhamn.
If you do not intend to have your J/70 in the regatta harbour before and during the competition, we want to know so that we can offer other boats space in the harbor.
Q: Do we need to check in at Sandhamn after we have done the registration and inspection at Bullandö?
A: No, you don´t have to do any more registration if you are complete during the registration and inspection at Bullandö. However, if you need to complete your registration with crew members you can do it on Sandhamn to Monday afternoon, the time will be specified closer to the race.
Q: Why am I having problems with saving my registration in Sailarena?
A: This seems to unfortunately happen from time to time. Try to push the “Save” button once you have completed a field. If that doesn´t solve the problem then you can e-mail [email protected] with your registration details and we’ll take care of it instead.
Q: Must the entire crew be present at the registration/inspections at Bullandö?
A: No. Crew registration will be done digital in SailArena.
Q: Will there be Inspection of the boats before start?
A: Yes. Inspection and registration is arranged August 22nd - 24th at Bullandö. Book your time slot at official notice board - Entry and booking form for inspection - KSSS
Race Office
Q: Where will the Race Office be located?
A: Race Office will be located on Sandhamn from August 22nd.
Q: Can we take the car to the Race Office?
A: No Sandhamn is an island with no vehicle access. Regular ferries operate to and from Sandhamn.
Harbour before and after the race
Q: Is it possible to get a mooring on Sandhamn before the race?
A: We will offer free mooring to all participating boats on Sandhamn between August 22nd and 31st. If you want to arrive earlier to Sandhamn with your J/70 we can arrange mooring against a fee. Please contact our harbour master on Sandhamn at [email protected]
Q: Is there a set mooringplan for the participating boats on Sandhamn?
A: Each boat will be assigned a spot in the Sandhamn harbour from August 24th
Accommodation
Q: We have booked Lökholmen - Sailing camp facilities, is breakfast included or must it be paid separately?
A: The breakfast is included when you are booking the accommodation at the sailing camp facilities at Lökholmen.
Q: We have booked Lökholmen - Sailing camp facilities, is there any chance to do some laundry or tumbling?
A: Yes! The guest harbour in Sandhamn (note, not Lökholmen) has a laundry facility that you can book.
Q: We have booked Lökholmen - Sailing camp facilities, how do we get between Lökholmen and Sandhamn?
A: Lökholmen and Sandhamn are literally a stone's throw apart (500 meters) and KSSS has shuttle service (Baljan) going between the islands at least every hour or more often.
Q: Tell us about what we can expect when we book Lökholmen - Sailing camp facilities.
A: The accommodation is of a simpler kind. Each room has 4 bunk beds with a total of 8 beds (1 room for one team, 4-5 persons). The rooms be locked. Toilets, showers, breakfast (which is included) and possibilities to store cold food in refrigerator and dry clothes are available in adjacent buildings.
