Womens Network Event

KSSS has a long-term ambition to give more women the opportunity to sail. As part of this ambition, KSSS is organizing, in collaboration with She Captain, a networking lunch in Sandhamn on June 29, the day before the start of Gotland Runt. The event aims to highlight women's sailing and inspire more women to participate in future sailing events.

By showcasing and promoting strong female profiles active in and around sailing, we hope to inspire, challenge, and create the right conditions for more women to not only feel the possibility of sailing but also to be able to take part in a valuable lifelong network.

Sailing is much more than a sport. It is a lifestyle with nature as a partner and an excellent platform for teamwork and leadership. We want to take advantage of this by connecting female sailors, decision-makers, and other role models.

As part of this ambition, KSSS is organizing, in collaboration with She Captain, a networking lunch in Sandhamn on June 29, the day before the start of Gotland Runt. The event aims to highlight women's sailing and inspire more women to participate in future sailing events.

It will be a few exciting hours together with some unique inspirational speakers from completely different backgrounds and circumstances. The keynote speaker is Renata Chlumska, one of the world's foremost adventurers, mountaineers, and speakers, who will be sailing Gotland Runt 2024 and will share her perspective on adventure at different levels.

But we will also hear several exciting perspectives, including:

  • Louise Callenberg, Chairwoman of She Captain, a network for women interested in boating and the sea.
  • Anna Östling, initiator of the Swedish Women's America's Cup initiative.
  • Cecilia Jonsson, KSSS elite team leader for the upcoming Summer Olympics in Paris.
  • Jenny Primér, HR Director and Head of People & Culture at Coca-Cola Sweden.

Where: Sandhamn, Varvet Lökholmen

When: Saturday, June 29, 11:00 to 13:00 (registration from 10:30)

Registration: See links futher down.

Under the slogan “One More” we want to inspire both new and experienced sailors to take the initiative for more sailing regardless of level.

The networking event is organized by KSSS in collaboration with She Captain with strong support from Coca-Cola Europacific Partners, Helly Hansen, and Svenska Sjö.
