The 84ft catamaran Allegra will join Gotland Runt

The 84ft Nigel Irens designed catamaran Allegra, sailed by Switzerland’s Adrian Keller has earlier won the spectacular MOCRA Class (Multihull) In Fastnet race, And RORC Caribbean 600 in the same Class, and will now participate in Gotland Runt.

It is an international offshore racing experienced crew with 10 sailors from 6 countries onboard Allegra, Skipper onboard is Adrian Keller, other name onboard is Paul Larsen who holds the world record for the fastest boat under sail, 66 knots, Helena Darvelid who is a experienced Swedish sailor, with more. Allegra has 3 fulltime crewmembers.

- We look forward to coming to Sweden and participate in Gotland Runt and see the sailing out of Stockholm's archipelago as the most challenging part. The daggerboards which are modified for this season for higher performance sticks 4,5 meter but can be pulled up and then Allegra has a draft of 2 metres. The mainsail is 240 Sqm and the gennaker is 500 Sqm. Allegra has reached a top speed of 29,9 knots, she sails best in wind conditions around 15-20 knots and have a tacking angle of 50 degrees. Allegra weighs in at 32 tons with a full interior including four en-suite cabins
The goal is to take Line Honours and win the multi hull class.
