RACING & REGATTAS
Racing and regattas are key activities in the club. Each year the club arrange about 20 regattas, primarily fleet races in many different classes, including national and international championships, but also offshore races. Most of the fleet races takes place on Baggensfjärden in Saltsjöbaden , right outside our club house, which is like a natural close arena for regattas. Fleet races are also arranged offshore at Sandhamn, which one of Sweden’s best racing arenas. Members from KSSS has over the years won basically all major international regattas such as Fastnet Race, Sydney Hobart Race, The Ocean Race (former Whitbread Round the World Race/Volvo Ocean Race), Dragon Gold Cup, SORC, TP 52, Mini Maxi Cup and One ton cup to name a few.
